Research Methodology and Biostatistics

This course, targeted at academic and teaching staff, enables participants to acquire knowledge and practical skills in modern data analysis methods, aiming to improve the reliability, interpretation, and presentation of research results in scientific literature. Training will be conducted in a biostatistics lab using advanced software. The hybrid format includes 3 days online (15 hours) and 5 days on-site (30 hours). Participation requirements (mandatory): 8 for academic staff of a foreign university 2 for PhD students of a foreign university Participation requirements (mandatory): employed as academic staff at a foreign university or status as a PhD candidate at a foreign university higher education in the field of medical or health sciences English proficiency at least B2 ability to work in a Windows environment and to use Microsoft Office programs (in particular Excel) voluntary declaration of participation Preferential criteria (if applications exceed available spots): English language proficiency above B2 – 5 points motivation and justification for participation in the IIEP, alignment of the candidate’s profile with the course topic – 0–10 points Recruitment: applications deadline: Feb 25th 2026 applications submitted via the UJK electronic recruitment system ranking list created after the application deadline announcement of the results: Mar 03th 2026 Documents required from accepted candidates: a certificate of employment in a teaching or research position at a foreign University or certificate of foreign PhD candidate status diploma confirming completion of higher education in the field of medical sciences or health sciences GDPR declarations and consent to data processing optionally - certificate confirming proficiency in English above B2 (only for non-English native speakers) optionally - a motivation letter in English
